De Pere Competes at the Preble Triangular
The De Pere track and field teams turned in a strong, well-rounded performance, highlighted by wins, depth, and success across multiple events with 21 personal bests and 7 season bests!
The boys team dominated distance races, sweeping the top four spots in the 3200 meters and placing multiple runners near the top in the 1600 . Evan Frelich led the sprinters with a win in the 200 and a second-place finish in the 100. De Pere also excelled in relays, winning the 4x800 and finishing second in the 4x400, while adding field event wins in shot put and discus.
The girls team showed similar strength, with top finishes in sprints, including a 200-meter win by Abilene Wautlet and multiple top-three finishes in the 100 . The 4x400 relay team took first, and the distance group added key top finishes. De Pere also picked up a win in the shot put and strong results in field events.
Overall, both teams showed impressive balance and depth across all areas.
